Views of Clark Dry lake (looking west) on the way up. This hike has amazing views of the desert in almost a full 360 degrees. We are walking up a long ridgeline to the top of the mount. On the west side, Clark Dry Lake, and on the east side of the ridge, there are views of the Salton Sea and the Chocolate Mountains of Arizona in the distance about 75 miles. To the south one can see Mexico (border is about 40 miles south) and in the way south one can even see the vast salt flats of the top of the Gulf of California (in Mexico).
